SharpEmu v0.6.0: New Vulkan Renderer and 40+ Bootable Games
After three months of work on the graphics backend, SharpEmu v0.6.0 is finally here. This release marks the transition from the experimental OpenGL renderer to a native Vulkan backend, written from scratch to make the most of translating the PS5’s GNM/GNMX shaders.
Highlights
- Vulkan renderer (experimental, opt-in from settings)
- Persistent on-disk shader cache, reduces stuttering after the first launch
- Fixes to the audio module (AudioOut) that caused crashes in several titles
- 40+ games moved from Nothing to Bootable or In-Game on the compatibility list
